Watercolor Painting with Ruth Ellen Hoag: Explore the versatile medium of watercolor. Learn  how to work with transparent as well as opaque  pigments. Brushwork techniques, color theory and  design are practiced through independent painting  projects. Emphasis is placed on creativity and artists  are encouraged to expand imagination through  working in a series. All modes of expression are  welcome, from representation to abstraction,  working in a painterly manner, hard edge, or anything  in between. 

Dates: Tues/Wed/Thurs from 2pm-6pm July 5-20

Course Materials: $100

Metal Sculpture with Ken Bortolazzo: Learn how to make balanced kinetic or static  sculptures that reference artists such as  Alexander Calder, George Rickey, and David Smith.  Mertials will range from stainless steel, mild steel,  copper, and wire. Besides hands on fabrication and  the business or art, commissions, design theory, and open discussions.

Dates: June 19-24 from 10am

Alternative Process Photography with Joyce Wilson: Demonstrations, discussions, photographic field  trips, creative assignments and working sessions  with Photoshop and NIK software will lead you on  a path of discovery...then it’s time for a little  creative insanity. Turn your photographs into  original works of art using handmade papers,  collage, varnish, gold and copper leafing, solvent transfers.

Dates: July 18,19,20 & 25, 26, 27 from 1pm-6pm

Course Materials: $100

Abstract Painting Using Words with Julie B. Montgomery: Artists will use abstract painting techniques, working with acrylic on canvas. They will explore and incorporate the use of words as content and texture, studying artists like Mark Rothko, Ed Ruscha and Banksy, and finding their own voice through journaling.
