11th Annual Teen Arts Mentorship Exhibit

The work of eleven talented teenage artists will be presented at The Arts Fund gallery from April 29 - June 10. The exhibition celebrates the artistic achievements of the students, all participants in the Teen Arts Mentorship program sponsored by The Arts Fund. The community is invited to see the work of these promising young artists and learn more about the Teen Arts Mentorship at an opening reception on Friday, April 29, from 5:30 - 7:30 pm.

For over a decade the Teen Arts Mentorship, under the sponsorship of The Arts Fund, has enabled Santa Barbara's brightest young artists to work with professional master artists in an intensive three-month workshop. 2005 participants whose work will be shown in the exhibition include Tara D'Orazio, Tiffany Grant, Gina Gress, Olivia Hayward, Brittany Johnson, Susannah Kelly, Geoffrey Kenyon, James Nivin, Cole Patterson, Cara Robbins and Jourdan Ross. The students worked under the guidance of master artists Nell Campbell (photography), Rafael Perea de la Cabada (painting), and Thomas Van Stein (painting). The Mentorship is made possible through the generous support of Susan Bower, The Looker Foundation, and The Towbes Foundation; additional contributions came from Art Resources and Armstrong Imaging.
