The Arts Fund began the Funk Zone Art Walk™ in 2013 to highlight the neighborhood's vibrant artistic community. The walk occurs on the odd months of the year on the third Friday of the month.

Around 20 artist studios, galleries, and art-centric venues combine efforts to coordinate each new exhibition opening on the same Friday night open their doors to the public from 5-8pm.

 

At any given venue, visitors can expect events such as exhibition openings and artist receptions, insightful art lectures, live music and performances, pop-up artist booths, beer and wine tastings, and various other interactive activities, making it the ideal way to casually experience the Funk Zone’s cultural explosion. This community event hosts hundreds of guests and supports local artists, galleries and businesses.
