Community Art Gallery

Funk Zone Community Art GalleryLocated in Santa Barbara's Funk Zone, The Arts Fund Community Gallery presents bi-monthly exhibitions featuring artists of all ages and backgrounds from all over Santa Barbara County.  Work of student artists is also exhibited following their Teen Arts Mentorship workshops. The community enjoys meeting the artists at exhibition openings which coincide with the Funk Zone Art Walk.

We also offer opportunities for guest curators to develop their professional gallery experience by presenting thought-provoking and exciting exhibits.  The community is invited to submit exhibition proposals which will be evaluated by The Arts Fund Program Committee and selected based on the following criteria:

  • Providing an opportunity for local artists to expand their professional exhibition experience and enrich the cultural platform in Santa Barbara
  • Collaborating with a minimum of 4 local artists and/or community organizations to offer the widest inclusion of the public and create a synergistic forum for the advancement of the arts
  • Offering educational opportunities for the community to better understand local art, artists, or artistic processes
