Artist's Statement
My artwork, while omnipresent in my life, changes with seasons of personal growth. Painting is a relationship, a love, an adversary, and a loyal refuge. A sudden disruption three years ago demanded a new home and studio. My new location on Hammonds Beach is a place of awe and wonder which I can only hope to convey in my current Beach series. In addition, my new studio in The Funk Zone gives me joy while being a part of a fun, vibrant neighborhood. It is in my nature to turn to my painting process which establishes a record to share and also interprets what I see and feel.

Artist's Biography
An intrinsic identity as an artist has been with me since my earliest memory.
After earning a BFA at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, I moved to NYC to complete post-grad education in Scenic Art for Theater and Motion Pictures. Acceptance into the Union Local 829 opened the door to work on Broadway and major motion pictures filmed at Universal and Paramount Studios along with the occasional music videos. Several years of moving between NYC and Los Angeles eventually led me to move to Santa Barbara where I expanded my scope to residential murals. Throughout my entire career, I’ve always maintained an art studio for my Fine Art practice which includes drawings, paintings, and collages.
