A Foodie Fundraiser to benefit The Arts Fund

Shalhoob Meat Company: 220 Gray Avenue

The Arts Fund is partnering up with our Funk Zone neighbor, Shalhoob Meat Company, for the September installment of our Foodie Fundraiser Series. They have graciously given us the whole patio for the night - so come down to the Funk Zone Patio and hang out with The Arts Fund family! 10% of sales will be going directly towards our Public Art Program!

*Note: You must order in the actual patio for us to receive a portion of the sales.

About the Public Art Program: Initiated in 2015, the goal of The Arts Fund's Public Art Program is to establish locations for public art projects and installations in an effort to keep art alive and maintain the creative signature of our community. We work directly with property and business owners along with selected artists to create site-specific public art projects such as murals, sculptures, and installations. Our goal is for public art to add to our community's already dynamic environment and attract a wider audience to the arts.

About The Arts Fund: Originally incorporated as the County of Santa Barbara Art Associates, The Arts Fund was created in 1983 as a private, nonprofit corporation to promote, foster, and support art activities in Santa Barbara County and to facilitate the works of the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission. In the late 1980s, The Arts Fund evolved into an independent organization with its current mission of offering art education, development and exhibition opportunities to aspiring artists and curators, as well as opportunities for Santa Barbara County residents to expand their appreciation for the wealth of local arts in our own community.

About Shalhoob: Family owned and operated since 1973, Shalhoob Meat Company provides premium custom cut meats and poultry to local homes, restaurants and hotels. We also offer gourmet beef jerky derived from our three-generation old family recipe and a unique Original Seasoning for meats and vegetables. Our most recent addition is an open air patio restaurant known as the Funk Zone Patio in the heart of the Santa Barbara Art and Wine District. Our pledge is to provide the finest quality products and deliver the very best service to our customers, Santa Barbara Style.
